So, I write like a manic depressive genius, who ruminated obsessively about the dark side of things, brew up insurmountably beautiful pieces of prose, and then proceeded to hang himself to death. Not surprising at all.
I want to read Infinite Jest. I really REALLY do. But that's probably the only book I've ever chanced upon that I am truly afraid of. Something tells me it's more darkness than I can handle at the moment. Precarious times, these. The balancing act is hard to keep up as it is. Infinite Jest = the machete to my tightrope. Sadomasochism, shall have to wait.

You know, I've wanted to read Infinite Jest for a very long time, too. But I've been avoiding it because it's simply too long and at my current reading speed of 50 pages per week I wont be able to finish it fast enuff.
So, I've decided to wait till the end of internship year. But it is an absolute brilliant tool, this analyse you writing thing. It tells me I write like H. P. Lovecraft!

hehe...my analysis also turned up David Foster Wallace. But i guess i've always been a little of manically sarcastic/depressive/playful (an eclectic mix of that), so i am good with that.
the last time i checked, u were on a run against life, and now precarious times. what's with life? ;)

H.P. Lovecraft! Impressive. I just downloaded a collection of everything he's ever written. Preparing to dive into it.
