Eternal Sunshine of the Inscrutable Mind.

"Blessed are the forgetful: for they get the better.. even of their blunders." -Friedrich Nietzsche

Needless to say, I love the movie.

Ya..but the movie was bit confusing in the start..and you have to stop reasoning the logics until in the climax,it is revealed!

anyway,take a peek at my blog too!:D

Well, I think that is precisely what keeps you on edge throughout the movie..
You keep trying to link things to achieve some sense of continuity.

I happened to see the movie only yesterday, and I'm still crazily in love with it. WHAT direction.

Sherry Wasandi said...

Precisely.

And if you liked this one, I'm sure you would love works by Darren Aronofsky and Ingmar Bergman. That is, of course, if you haven't tried them already. :)

was it "inscrutable" or "spotless"?
it is perhaps the only film which i can recall in which jim plays a serious character. the film is gripping although i had my head spinning as i watched david flincher's fight club, the usual suspects and eternal.. in succession. the plots of all these flicks are original and have been presented in a crazy manner. its a beautiful film, i am glad you have acknowledged it!

"Inscrutable" is my spin-twister addition.

I'm usually pretty wary of his movies for the same reason. Comedy is just not my genre of choice. But this, was pure brilliance. Everything about it. I mean everything.

This is indeed a lovely movie and it kept me thinking about it for days at an end.. Especially when you watch Pi and The Fountain alongside.

Aronofsky is, I believe, a genius in his own right.

Sherry Wasandi said...

Exactly.

As for Pi.. how can one not love a movie in which a guy drills his brains out? :D

Genius can be acquired. Aronofsky is an artist, in the true sense of the word. :)
